Need to commence early morning drive from Kathmandu to Charikot. In about 4-5 hours you will reach Charikot, the headquarter of Dolakha district, and the trek is started from Charikot.
Passing the diverse and wild flora and fauna, rhododendron woods, trekkers reach Kuri village. One of the nearest hiking trails from Kathmandu, the Chisapani-Nagarkot trek, begins after an hour's scenic drive to Sundarijal. As we enter the Shivapuri National Park, the journey continues to the Chisapani-the vantage point. Waking up early at Chisapani would be awarded as you can see mesmerizing Himalayan views from there.
The trek continues to Nagarkot. As we reach Nagarkot, watching the spectacular sunset view and the next morning's sunrise view is a must-do activity. You may also like to view the tower. You can drive back from Nagarkot to Kathmandu or hike to Southeast to Dhulikhel or hike west to Changunarayan.
